To kick things off, we thought it would be fun to share our birth stats from 2013.
Total Births: 72 – Up from 63 last year
Planned Home: 66
Planned Hospital: 6
Hospital Transfer Rate: Total 7 – 10.2% before labor 3-4.4%, 4 in labor-5.5%
Vaginal Births: 67 – 93%
Vbac Rate: 13 attempted- 12 successful – 92.3% success rate
Epidural Rate: 2 – 2.7 % (both these women eventually required surgical births)
Episiotomy: 2 – 2.7 %
Breech: 2 Footlings at home
Twins: 1 Set at home
2013 was a great year at Sage-femme Midwifery and 2014 is already off to a great start.
